The recent recipient of a FACTOR (Foundation To Assist Canadian Talent On Records) Award, Dale Waterman is on the long road to becoming a well-known name. The 21 year old part-time teacher at the Nepean School of Music is a singer / songwriter / musician who resides in Ottawa, Canada. The FACTOR award enabled Dale to record a demo CD at Distortion Studios (Alanis Morrisette, Tammy RayBould) to be followed up by a full album release in 2001.

His diverse musical influences include Marvin Gaye, Stone Temple Pilots, Elton John, Erykah Badu, Seal, and Jamiroquai to name a few. He has been seen doing solo piano/vocal performances at local Chapters Stores, sipping coffee between songs. His eclectic collection of original songs has something for many musical tastes. He headlined at the prestigious After Eight Jazz club on New Years Eve, wrapping his vocal chords around some Swing Tunes!

Over the past few years, he has performed in a variety of venues, including opening for Tammy RayBould at the Black Sheep Inn in Wakefield, PQ, singing with the choir backing Céline Dion at the Corel Centre in Ottawa, coffeehouses and numerous private and corporate engagements. Distinguishing him from the rest are his enthralling R&B style vocals, which give Dale an unrivaled edge.

Always showcasing his diversity, Dale was featured in two of Merivale High School's musicals during his years there, Chess and In To The Woods. He also appeared in the televised semi-finals of the Ottawa-Ex youth talent show in 1996. Recently, he was a candidate for the Canadian production of The Lion King.
